Well, Here We Are Again

I know they look like they should be talking, but I couldn't decide what dialogue I wanted them to have. Either:

"Oh. It's YOU."
"You KNOW her?!"

or

"I've been really busy being dead. You know. After you killed me?"
"You did WHAT?!!"

So I just left it blank for you to decide. Aren't I nice?

I had a lot of fun drawing GLaDOS. I thought, "You know, I never see her hanging from the mainframe, like her design suggests. I'll do that, because I'm a rebel." Then I started drawing this and figured out why people generally avoid doing this: that pose is a bitch to figure out. I'm not sure I got the chest right, but I found out that if I tried for more anatomically correct, it just made the picture look weird. So I cheated a little, but hopefully it's not too bad.

Also, I know everyone and their mother does the black sclera for GLaDOS, and I generally hate doing what everyone else does, but something about it just fits her, if you know what I mean. I tried to make up for it with the weird left eye, and that also surprisingly fits.

But back to what I like about her. I've never done circuitry traces before, so that was fun to learn. I also had fun being a bit of a detail whore: where on the human body her cores would have been when you blew them off her, how many dots she has around her eyes, things like that. Wheatley isn't immune, either, but currently it's hard to see. Though, for some reason, I'm enamored with the fact that his shoe's undone; for some reason, it just seems particularly Wheatley-ish to me, and it makes me happy.

Speaking of Wheatley, I'm happy I got the hands and feet right. I'm terrible at both, so drawing these to where they actually don't look half-bad is a major milestone. The claw that's holding him didn't turn out too bad, though the cable attached is a bit wonky.

I hate drawing backgrounds, but this picture called for it. I didn't get everything exactly right, but it's in the ballpark. I strangely had fun drawing in all the details (I think I'm starting to develop a problem).
